Stormwater Services

Trees planted in the riparian area along the salmon creek in Sumner.

Managing stormwater is an essential part of ensuring that your business/site stays in compliance with regulations set forth by the Washington State Department of Ecology. The City of Sumner holds an MS4 permit from the Department of Ecology, in which we are required to clean and maintain all of our storm systems within the City. As part of this permit, and to make sure that our system stays clean, we need to ensure that the private storm systems are maintained and cleaned on a regular basis, as these systems discharge into the City's system. Additionally, by maintaining your site's system on a regular basis, the risks of major repairs are reduced due to the consistent upkeep of the structures.

To learn more about your site's storm system, and all things stormwater, please reach out, or schedule a Stormwater Site Visit, by clicking the link on the right hand side of the page.
