With a full structural assessment in winter/spring 2023, architectural historians from WJE asked the City to open up walls and floors. In doing this, the entire attic floor collapsed into the first-floor of the pioneer cabin, narrowly missing the City staff member. It was never supported or nailed to any structural supports as it should have been.
